COMEDY MASTER CLASS
The new act/beginner’s workshop condensed into a lecture and designed for new acts seeking to go back to basics and improve their act but who are unable to commit to a six-week workshop.

“Jeff is an elder statesman of stand-up and this is reflected in his course, which is as cerebral and considered as it is loose and fun. I was challenged to find out who I was and how to reflect that in the material I was delivering. Jeff’s avuncular approach made everyone feel confident and at ease and he helped me find my voice and my jokes with surprising ease.” Jamie
“Jeff Innocent’s Stand Up Academy was an amazing experience: the throughly fun, immersive and enlightening introduction to stand-up that I would have wished for. Jeff is a lovely geezer and a great teacher. I got a good glimpse into the professional world of stand up comedy and learned to think like a comic. English is my second language and this workshop helped me to make this an asset rather than something to work around." Maren
“Jeff really gets into the nitty gritty of not only how to write material but also perform it. Due to the small, intimate group, it enables Jeff to focus on and give more personal feedback, a very important aspect of personal growth but which I found lacking in previous courses where group numbers were too large. His course gave me the confidence to find out who I really was. The best thing about Jeff is that he is honest to the core. Constructive and direct feedback made it challenging but rewarding and Jeff’s ever-present enthusiasm and encouragement for his students made the whole process a truly fulling experience.” Emma
“As an absolute novice, this was my first stop in comedy, I felt safe in Jeff’s tutelage. I gained confidence and I found my voice. The structure of the workshop allows everyone to perform material and be critically analysed.” Su
"I never thought that I would have the confidence to get up on stage in front of people and try to make them laugh. Jeff and the other students at the workshop gave me so much encouragement I've actually now started to do open spots on the comedy circuit and love it." Binajit
"Thank you Jeff for helping me along the road towards my dream of becoming a comedian." Fredrick
"I was already a new act on the comedy circuit but a little directionless. Six weeks at The Comedy Academy has helped me develop my act massively. I totally recommend it to any new act." John
